BRIEF
R3 Tower is a commercial and residential building in Al Thanyah Fifth, Dubai, which had been on hold for several years. The building required a comprehensive structural assessment before the project could progress under revised architectural and structural requirements.
The strengthening works covered the building from basement levels up to the 23rd floor and were required to meet authority requirements while accommodating additional loads resulting from design changes.
Venus carried out strengthening design, column, wall, and beam strengthening by enlargement and jacketing, together with CFRP strengthening for slabs, beams, columns, and new slab openings.
